The consultation

Your provider looks at your natural lip proportions and the rest of your face, and talks through the shape and amount of change you want. Our approach is conservative: we build gradually and would rather bring you back for a small refinement than overfill in one session.

Comfort

We use topical numbing, and most fillers contain lidocaine. Patients typically describe pressure rather than pain.

The treatment

Lip filler is a hyaluronic acid injection that restores or adds volume, shape and a defined border. Your provider places it in small amounts and checks symmetry as they go.

Afterwards

Mild swelling for two to three days is normal, and occasional bruising can occur. The shape you see on the first day is not the final result; it settles over about two weeks. Your provider gives you written aftercare before you leave.

How long it lasts

Most hyaluronic acid fillers last nine to eighteen months, depending on the product, the area and your metabolism. If you ever want to adjust or reverse the result, hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase.
