SpectraionX Dual Laser in Miami: Renewal, Collagen and Scalp in One Platform
SpectraionX by Elitera Aesthetics — dual-wavelength fractional laser, 1927 nm + 1550 nm (the same family as our SyneraLift and Pulsar+)
Some skin needs a reset without being resurfaced. SpectraionX, by Elitera Aesthetics, uses two non-ablative wavelengths that leave the surface intact while working at two different depths: 1927 nm for the top layers, where sun damage, uneven tone and rough texture live, and 1550 nm deeper in the dermis, where acne scars, fine lines and collagen loss begin. Treated columns of skin heal from the inside out over three to seven days, which makes it one of our most versatile lasers for photodamage, scars and texture — and, used gently on the scalp, a microchannel treatment for thinning hair. Individual results vary.

SpectraionX Dual Laser
Why people choose it
Chosen for your skin
Two depths, one visit
surface renewal and dermal remodeling in the same session, or each on its own.
Built by Elitera Aesthetics
the same engineering family as our SyneraLift and Pulsar+ platforms, so our team already works with the maker's protocols and training every day.
Surface stays intact
non-ablative columns mean no open wounds, fewer restrictions and a safer profile than CO2 across more skin tones.
The scar and stretch-mark workhorse
1550 nm is the wavelength dermatology has used for acne and surgical scars for nearly two decades.
Scalp program
micro-channels in the scalp plus topical growth factors or PRP for thinning hair, with no visible downtime.
What it treats
The concerns we start with
Sun damage & brown spots
1927 nm clears diffuse photodamage on the face, chest and hands.
Uneven tone & dullness
brighter, more even skin after a single renewal session.
Rough texture & pores
smoother surface, refined pores.
Melasma
as a managed adjunct with topicals.
Precancerous rough patches
actinic keratoses, assessed by your provider.
Acne scars
1550 nm remodels rolling and boxcar scars.
Surgical & traumatic scars
flattens and blends.
Stretch marks
narrows and smooths.
Fine lines
around the eyes and mouth.
Crepey neck & chest
texture and tone with conservative settings.
Thinning hair
scalp micro-channel sessions with topical growth factors or PRP.
The technology
The right energy, precisely placed
Both wavelengths target water in the skin and create thousands of microscopic columns of heated tissue surrounded by untouched skin, which drives rapid healing. 1927 nm is absorbed very strongly, so it works superficially — about the depth of the epidermis and upper dermis — lifting pigment and renewing texture; treated pigment surfaces as fine bronzed micro-crusts that flake away in days. 1550 nm penetrates deeper, heating the mid-dermis to remodel scars and stimulate new collagen with more swelling but less flaking. On the scalp, low-energy passes open micro-channels that improve the delivery of topical growth factors, PRP or minoxidil, with early studies suggesting improvements in density and hair thickness when combined with those topicals.
SpectraionX is manufactured by Elitera Aesthetics; dual 1927/1550 nm fractional lasers are an established class used for skin resurfacing, pigmented lesions, wrinkles and scars, and the device's regulatory labeling is reviewed with you at consultation. Scalp use for thinning hair is an off-label application supported by early clinical studies, not a cleared indication.

Who it's for
A good fit starts with an assessment
Good for
- Sun-damaged, dull or rough skin that wants a reset without a week of healing.
- Acne scars, surgical scars and stretch marks — especially in patients who are not CO2 candidates.
- Fitzpatrick I–IV; deeper tones treated conservatively with pigment pre-treatment.
- Men and women with early thinning who want a non-surgical adjunct to topicals or PRP.
Not for
- Deep wrinkles or significant laxity — CO2 or Morpheus8 do more per session.
- Active tan, pregnancy, isotretinoin within 6 months, active infection or cold sore, keloid tendency.
- Advanced hair loss with scarring — a hair-restoration consult is the honest route.
Your treatment plan
A plan, not a one-size-fits-all session
- 01
Renewal (1927)
1–3 sessions, 4 weeks apart.
- 02
Collagen remodeling (1550) or combined
3–5 sessions, 4 weeks apart.
- 03
Scalp program
6 sessions, 4 weeks apart, with topical growth factors or PRP, then reassess at 6 months.
- 04
Comfort
Topical numbing 45–60 minutes before facial sessions; cold air during; scalp sessions usually need none.
What to expect
Before, during and after
before
- No sun or self-tanner for 4 weeks; stop retinoids and acids 1 week; antiviral if you get cold sores; arrive with clean skin (scalp: clean, product-free hair).
during
- Numbing, then passes of intense warmth with cold air blowing; about 30 minutes.
after
- Sunburn-like heat for a few hours; swelling and redness peaking at 48–72 hours; 1927 sessions turn bronzed and sandpapery and flake for days 3–7; 1550 sessions swell more and flake less. Scalp: warm and pink for an evening.
Downtime & healing
Your recovery, day by day
Day 0–1
Red, warm, puffy — especially around the eyes; ice and sleep elevated.
Day 2–3
Swelling peaks; bronzed, rough texture begins.
Day 3–7
Flaking (1927) or fading redness (1550); makeup once flaking settles.
Week 2–4
Brighter, smoother skin; next session.
Month 3–6
Scar and collagen improvements build.
Aftercare
Care that carries the result
- Gentle cleanser and a bland occlusive moisturizer; no washcloths, scrubs or picking.
- Antihistamine for swelling and itch; ice 20 minutes on, 20 off the first day.
- Mineral SPF 30+ and 4 weeks of sun avoidance; hold retinoids and acids for a week.
- Scalp: no washing for 24 hours; no pools, saunas or ocean for 48 hours.
Results
Change, on your timeline
- Brightness and tone improve within 1–4 weeks; texture, scars and lines build over 3–6 months.
- Results last 1–2 years or more with sun protection; melasma needs ongoing topicals and maintenance.
- Scalp: shedding often slows first, with density and thickness changes typically reviewed at 3–6 months; evidence comes from small studies and results vary.
- Individual results vary.
Risks & safety
An honest conversation first
- Expected: redness, swelling, bronzing and flaking for 3–7 days; acne or milia flare.
- Possible: post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (the main risk in deeper or tanned skin, managed by density, energy and pre-treatment), prolonged redness, cold-sore reactivation.
- Uncommon: blistering, pinpoint scarring, hypopigmentation; on the scalp, follicle irritation with over-aggressive settings — we use low to medium energy only.
Why No Filter
Over-qualified for this. On purpose.

FAQs
Your questions, answered
1927 nm works on the top layers — sun damage, tone, texture — with bronzing and flaking for a few days. 1550 nm works deeper — scars, lines, collagen — with more swelling and less flaking. Many patients have both in one session.
One to three days after a renewal session, three to seven after remodeling or a combined session. The skin is intact, so it is social downtime — pink, puffy, flaky — rather than wound care.
Fitzpatrick I–IV are treated routinely; deeper tones are treated with lower density and pigment pre-treatment. Melasma is treated as a managed adjunct with topicals, never as a cure.
CO2 vaporizes columns of skin; one session does more but needs real healing and suits lighter skin. SpectraionX heats columns under an intact surface — gentler, repeatable and safer across more skin tones, over a series.
One to three for renewal, three to five for scars and remodeling, about four weeks apart; scalp programs run six sessions.
It is an off-label use supported by early clinical studies showing improved density and thickness when micro-channel laser sessions are combined with topical growth factors, PRP or minoxidil. It is not an FDA-cleared indication, results vary, and we tell you that at consultation.
Yes — topical PRP or growth-factor serums are applied immediately after facial or scalp sessions while the channels are open; we do not inject exosomes.
Yes — the 1927 renewal setting is one of the best options for sun-damaged chest and hands, with conservative settings for thinner skin.
